Fan Tan, sometimes referred to fan-tan is an old Chinese game of gambling. It is basically a game of pure luck that has many similarities to blackjack. It was invented around 700 BC in the province of Shang Dynasty. The game was played using the same nine cards used in regular game of cards. The nine cards are laid out in the same way they would in a regular game. When the game begins, game, each player receives two cards in a face-down position with one facing the other. There are two special rules in fan-tan, one for the west and another to the east. This requires that the cards be laid out face-down from west-to-east. This could be confusing for new players. After all the cards have been dealt, each participant picks a number ranging between one and seven, counting from one to seven as the remaining cards to play. At this moment the dealer will then take the special card known as the fan-tan and place it on the table. This card is used for betting. The card is used to place bets. Players write the numbers on the card. The betting process is performed using the standard 52 card deck. It is then completed when the cards are turned over. Each player is only able to see one card at a time, so the cards are turned one at a while. The card is referred to as the fan-tan jeng, or "master-card". The players are able to bet against one another, but they can also bet on the group, or a "tea bag". They are able to fold, but they must first rotate the deck with their tea bags prior to folding. They are ready for another game of bets once the cards have been turned. If there's still be a wager on the highest total on one card, the card is awarded to the loser. All the cards are being flipped over and the dealer hands out five cards to each participant. These five cards are called the "queenboard" and are taken from the pile. The dealer then deals the deck's contents starting with the fan-tan JNG and going on to the final card, the "king". The game is over when every participant has been dealt their final card. Everyone gets up and the dealer announces that everyone has been invited to go out of the table. The game ends when everyone has bet the same number on the same card (including the winner). All players receive an item and the dealer then assigns the card to the current winner. When the next game, players have to add a new card to the previously marked card. This is done by adding it to the pile that is facing up and then placing the card on top of the pile. If more than one player requires one card to their stack, the dealer will allow it to do so, but only one at a time. After the last card is added, the dealer will then count the remaining players in the game. The dealer will turn over the final card, and then distribute the deck to each player. Fan Tan is a Chinese popular entertainment, which was adopted by Westerners around the 19th century. It is used today as an add-on card game, like Texas Hold'em and Hold'em. There are many variations of the game have been created, such as versions that incorporate a seven-card stud or a seven-card fan-tan. There are also versions that incorporate the familiar joker.
