A graphic designer mother from Queensland has revealed how she put together her daughter's dream 11th birthday party using budget items from Kmart, Big W and Target. Lisa Heenan, 35, knew she wanted to make daughter Lia's birthday party something to remember, but she also didn't want to break the bank when planning the event. 'They had an absolute ball and I had just as much fun organising it all and setting it all up for her,' Lisa told FEMAIL. The 35-year-old said she spent around $500 investing in various pieces for the birthday, all of which she and Lia plan to continue to use around the house. 'I'm big on planning things out,' she said. 'About three months ago I started looking at ideas for slumber parties on Pinterest.  'One caught my eye and I set out to recreate my own version of it for Lia.' While the devoted mum-of-four said it didn't take her three months to put together, Lisa said she started working on things slowly throughout that time and picked up bits and pieces from Kmart, Big W and Target when she saw them. 'I'm also a graphic designer, so I designed and put together all of the invitations, games and any other printable items I used for the party,' she said.  Speaking about why she wanted to do the birthday, Lisa said she has always been a fan of events and when she saw one on Pinterest, she knew she wanted to recreate it at home 'I'm also a graphic designer, so I designed and put together all of the invitations, games and any other printable items I used for the party,' the mum said Lisa said the grand total for Lia's (left and right) party was around $500, and she used many old items as well as some new
