What is Acupuncture and Tui Na?

The term "Tui Na" or Thai acupuncture, is a mixture of three healing arts - Chinese acupuncture and massage. Tui Na is usually practiced in conjunction with another traditional medicine practice, such as Moxabustion, Chinese Qigong, or Massage Therapy. It is a powerful complement therapy. It has many healing effects and can address physical mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients suffering from chronic or acute state of illness and of patients experiencing life transitions or the aging process. In fact it has been practiced throughout the West for many years and is extensively documented and studied. Acupuncture: Acupuncture originated in China as an ancient Chinese therapy method. Acupuncturists work on the skin's top layer, called the acupoints, stimulating them and release endorphins (which are natural opiates) as well as neurotransmitters and ions. It is not clear what stimulation is triggered and how Tui Na massage works. Alternative medicine uses Tui Na too. Tui Na is usually used in conjunction with other traditional therapies for example, those that focus on Qi stagnation, pain, fatigue, Qi deficiency and toxins. Tui Na and Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine. Both Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tui Na are based on traditional Chinese medicine. They also have a solid foundation in Chinese traditional Chinese medicine. Both massage therapy and acupuncture make use of specially-designed devices for delivering the mechanical pressure that is a result of applying pressure to specific acupoints throughout the body. Tui Na is a potent alternative therapy that addresses the various health issues like chronic back pain, whiplash, migraines, tension, stress, pain and digestive problems. Tui Na and Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine Tui Na and Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine not clear what the connection between Tui Na, traditional Chinese medicine and Tui Na is. In some instances, Tui Na is used alongside traditional Chinese medicine to treat certain health conditions. Examples include the qi gong or energy healing techniques used by Chinese martial artists. There is a lot of debate on the effectiveness of Tui Na. Tui Na is a reliable treatment for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and allergies. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tui Na: Many people are unfamiliar with the term "traditional Chinese medicine" (TCM). The term refers to the variety of treatments that were used by the ancient Chinese. These treatments include acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, massage, qi gong and nutrition. Many of these therapies are used for centuries. Certain modern TCM techniques have been created to complement other types of treatment modalities. For back pain, certain TCM doctors may recommend Tui Na and Acupuncture. Acupuncture and Tui Na: For most Westerners, they have been told about acupuncture as well as tui Na therapy. Some people don't understand the meaning behind these terms. Acupuncture, a kind of Chinese medicine, is the stimulation of specific points of the body with needles. Tui Na is the term that is used to refer to the traditional Chinese method of applying acupuncture to treat different ailments. Acupuncture, Tui Na Therapy: Traditional Chinese medicine holds that meridian points exist in the body's skin. They are believed to connect different organs. When meridians are stimulated, they stimulate the flow of qi or the life force through the body. In the traditional Chinese medicine, Qi and Blood are believed to be the major components of the universe. In some cases, acupuncture and tui na are considered to be the treatment modalities that help restore the normal flow of blood and Qi throughout the body. Although there is no scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of acupuncture or tui nua, patients who have received these treatments have experienced improvements in their overall health. This could be because these treatments target those same areas of the body that are stimulated by the meridians. It is unclear whether this is the case or not however, it appears to be an event that occurs in the traditional Chinese medicine.
